York In Recovery is a peer-led Lived Experience Recovery Organisation, run by people with direct experience of addiction and recovery. Our lived experience underpins everything we do, enabling us to build trust, reduce stigma, and provide authentic support. We offer safe, non-judgemental spaces across York where people at all stages of recovery can connect, access peer support, and strengthen their recovery capital through inclusive, community-based groups and activities.

We are based at the Community Recovery Hub, 2 Wellington Row, York, YO1 6BE.

As IWW 2026 begins we are pleased that as a LERO organisation we are participating in this fantastic week of events for the very first time.

Our event is a twofold celebration of the work and activities that have grown out of our Tuesday Women for Women sessions which we host every Tuesday.
